While in New York for my very first time I was blessed with floor seats to see Kendrick Lamar and Travis Scott at The Damn. Tour at Barclays Center. This was my third time seeing Kendrick this year and once again he did not disappoint, serving the audience with 22 songs, dancers, explosives, & super cool video interludes. I am a huge fan of this mans work, the messages behind his songs, the realness of his lyrics, and the overall style of his sound. Kung Fu Kenny otherwise known as Kendrick delivered a phenomenal Kill Bill themed show complete with live martial artists, amazing visuals, and a surprise appearance from 2 Chainz. Travis Scott also wowed the audience by riding a giant eagle during his performance. One thing Ive learned this year about going to a Kendrick Lamar show, just when you think the show is over and everyone starts to leave, it's not. Kendrick always surprises his audience and pops back out for one last song, if you plan on checking on The Damn. Tour this summer don't leave too early you might miss the best part. After the concert we headed to Times Square and had a late dinner at The Times Square diner.
Since I knew we were going to be doing a lot of walking, and I only wear sneakers to concerts, I wore a heather grey two piece halter set from NakedWarbrobe, a ribbed black duster from American Apparel, and Classic Old Skool Vans. Check out some of my pics and video from the night, leave me a comment in the box, let me know what you think of my look.
